Matsuri Hakata (博多祀里, Hakata Matsuri), often referred to as Mattsun, is a character in Barjona Bombers, attending Barjona Marine High School in between his acting breaks.

Appearance

Matsuri has shoulder-length brown hair with a wild strand sticking up at top. When in school, he wears the standard Barjona vest and slacks, with a white-and-blue vertical striped shirt underneath the vest. In early appearances, such as the first Barjona game, he wore a green button-down shirt underneath his vest (and a red undershirt under that layer).

Profile

Having started as an actor in his childhood, Matsuri attends Barjona High infrequently, between breaks in his job. Due to his extravagant lifestyle, he comes off somewhat seflish and pretentious. But though he might look mature, his personality is a lot more carefree and childish. As he's an experienced actor, he has a very diverse range of emotions to display.

Relationships

Minatsu Iyo (Nacchan)

Main article: Minatsu Iyo

It is said that both Mattsun and Nacchan are similar in that they're both sort of troublemakers.

Trivia

  • His surname derives from the Hakata ward of Fukuoka Prefecture, while "Matsuri" seems to derive from a festival in the prefecture known as Hakata Dontaku Minato Matsuri.
