Appearance
In the early stages of the comic, Miyako has back-length blonde hair that she wears loose, aside from two red hairclips as accessories. She wears the standard Kitakou girls' uniform, consisting of a short-sleeved white uniform shirt and deep blue vest and skirt. Initially, she is depicted wearing her shirt loose and the vest undone.
In the Kitakou Pure game and later strips, she wears the new girls' uniform: A red sailor-style dress, which she wears with black thigh-high stockings and white-and-black Mary Jane shoes. She later cuts her hair and starts to wear it in a set of short pigtails.
But by the time of Chapter 18 in the Kitakou series (and strips done in 2007), she is not only back to wearing the original girls' uniform, but has regained her original hairstyle and length.
Profile
A third year and the president of the student council, Miyako is lively yet also very egotistical and overbearing, wanting things done her way. Even so, she happens to be tougher than the boys, so she is able to keep the school in line.
Though she longs for a boyfriend, she has terrible luck with getting one. She is also a fujoshi type character (lit: "rotten woman", one who is obsessed with yaoi), and loves doujinshi.

Miyako receives a sort of cameo in the unfinished Sengoku strip The World of War and the Fool of Owari, as Owari-han. She becomes aggravated at Nobunaga, who plans to become the boss of Japan, and warns Japan to stay away from him.
In the footnote, it is said that this Owari is a loner due to refusing to conform to the other -hans' personalities. While Miyako has long blonde hair, this Owari's hair is dark and she keeps it held back in a bun, though she still sports the hairclips that her Kitakou counterpart has.
Trivia
- Her surname, as expected, is derived from the Owari Province, which would later form the Aichi Prefecture with the Mikawa Province.
