Ichigo Nikkou (日光いちご, Nikkou Ichigo) is a minor character in Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club. He is a student at Iwase Agricultural High School.

Appearance

Ichigo is a tall boy with long blond hair usually left unattended to. Due to the length of his hair and the way he is drawn in some illustrations, his appearance can be considered somewhat feminine other than his body type and height. In addition, he tends to look more masculine when drawn with his more intimidating expressions. His eyebrows are noticeably thick.

Classic Kitakou

In his brief appearances in this series, he wears his hair in a set of low ponytails, and then in a higher style ("twintails"). His Iwase boys' uniform consists of a white uniform shirt with dark slacks and a matching tie.

Kitakou Pure

Though an early teaser image for the Pure game showed him to wear his hair up in twintails, art for the actual game demo and his appearances in the Pure manga have him wearing his hair loose.

The Iwase boys' uniform in this series consists of a khaki-green sweater vest worn over a white shirt, with lighter tan slacks.

Profile

Ichigo is a master of archery, which has been passed down in his family for generations, though he prefers the broadcasting club over it. He appears to be relatively calm and easygoing on the outside, but can become a severe and frightening person when provoked. Even his constant smiling is considered to be "scary". Besides his arrows, his fingernails can also be threatening weapons. His hair is left long and loose due to neglect, though he sometimes likes to tie it up.

His favorite hobbies are gardening and cultivating bonsai trees, and his favorite foods are curry dumplings. He is a first year student in the Horticulture Department at Iwase.

Relationships

Trivia

  • His surname derives from a city in Tochigi Prefecture, while his given name has two different meanings depending on the characters used: Ichigo can mean "One to protect", or it can mean "Strawberry". As his given name is written in hiragana, it implies the latter. When combined, his name translates to "Strawberry sunshine".
